AMBULANCE MEMBERSHIP
A COST SAVING PROGRAM
LIFE SAVING CARE
$45 PER
FAMILY PER YEAR! Enrollment open all year.
24 HOUR PER DAY AMBULANCE SERVICE
A
FireMed membership provides service 24 hours per day, 365 days per
year. Non-emergency ambulance service to the hospitals and nursing
homes is also provided when medically necessary and pre-authorized
by a physician.
FireMed
means savings!
Ambulance service is expensive
to provide. FireMed protection makes sense when you consider the
average costs:
Basic
Life Support $400 - $600 per transport.
Advanced Life Support $700 - $1000 per transport
Family Coverage for Just $45 Per Year
Your FireMed membership covers
you, your spouse, unmarried children under 25 and other persons
living in your home, listed as dependants on you tax returns.
Most
insurance only covers 35-60% of total ambulance fees.
Even if you have insurance,
full ambulance costs are seldom paid. Some bills can be denied
entirely. Private insurance companies often fail to pay certain fees
citing “usual and customary limitations”, leaving you unpaid bills.
With membership, if you require ambulance service, CRRRFPD FireMed
will bill your insurance. All payments received will be accepted
as payment in full. All you will receive is a statement showing
how these payments were credited. Your $45 membership entitles you
to ambulance service as often as needed during the year.
FireMed helps
the community
Your $40 stays in the community
to pay for Paramedic and EMT training, and valuable life saving
equipment used by our Paramedics and EMT’s.
FireMed is
honored in other areas of Oregon
In addition to 24 hour
ambulance service here in our District, FireMed membership is
honored in many other areas in Oregon. Unlike CRRRFPD’s ambulance
service, not all areas accept FireMed for non-emergency transport.
Check with that local service for further information.
