The Crooked River Ranch Fire Auxiliary is a very active volunteer organization that serves as a support group for the both the Crooked River Ranch Volunteer Fire Association, Inc. and the Fire District itself.

 The Auxiliary meets at the Fire Station each Monday morning at 9:00 AM for coffee and donuts, and to plan and carry out the “chores & projects” for that day, ending with lunch. Formal Auxiliary meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 9:00 AM

 At any given time, you are liable to find the auxiliary doing maintenance work on the Fire Station, putting up Christmas lights, installing a new address sign for a Ranch resident, or cooking breakfast for the Volunteer Fire Fighters at 5:00AM after a long fire. The list is almost endless, and results in considerable savings to the District, and thus to the taxpayers.

 The Auxiliary is an indispensable part of the Volunteer Fire Association’s annual Holiday Toy & Food Drive for needy families on the Ranch.

 The Auxiliary is also very involved in the Volunteer Fire Association’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, annual Halloween party for children on the Ranch, annual Breakfasts, and other activities and fundraisers.

 The Auxiliary has also taken on the task of cleaning up 8 miles of Ranch roads!

 If you have a talent in a particular area, and would like to share that talent, the Fire Auxiliary might just be the organization for you. As an example, we are fortunate enough to have a member of the Auxiliary that is an excellent machinist, and he has hand crafted several specialized firefighting related tools for us, that has saved the District a considerable amount of money over purchasing them. So, having Auxiliary members with special talents is a great benefit, not only to the District, but also to the taxpayers of the District.

 If you have a little spare time, and would like to be a part of an organization that gives back to the community, but aren’t interested in being a firefighter or medic, please consider the Crooked River Ranch Rural Fire Protection District Auxiliary.
